In May 2023, we hosted our first natural building workshop. Here, we learned the Pros and Cons of natural building, how to protect mud homes, and different methods of construction. We also ate a delicious, plant-based meal cooked by Kristina and got hands-on practice with the Casa de Quincha natural building technique. For future workshops in Panama, please see below.

Introduction to Natural Building

Earthen Floor Workshop
Learn about how to make floors made of only natural materials, such as clay, sand, straw, and lime. Study different approaches to earthen floors and when to use them.
Lime Plaster + Tadelakt Workshop (18+ ONLY)
Get hands-on practice. Learn about the pros and cons of various lime products (hydraulic vs. non-hydraulic etc). Learn highly specialized tadelakt waterproofing technique, used in ancient times. Master the curing process and learn application techniques + common mistakes.
